Megan Finnegan

I'm a Brooklyn-based writer with a Master's degree from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism, where I focused on arts & culture reporting. I write about Catholicism, Irish culture, the wedding industry, theater, media criticism, the arts and New York City news.

Currently I'm a staff reporter at Manhattan Media, writing for Our Town and The West Side Spirit newspapers covering the Upper East and West Sides of Manhattan. I also write for several blogs and do social media consulting. I grew up in New Jersey and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and English with a Writing Concentration from Muhlenberg College. I also write a blog on sane wedding planning amid an insane wedding planning industry called The Bride and the Journalist.
